THE ALCHEMIST

Archetype: Persephone

The Alchemist is where we learn to read the body as a map of patterns and cycles built upon your beliefs.

This is a deeper study of medical astrology, using the natal chart as a framework for exploring the relationship between the zodiac, planetary placements, anatomical correspondences, and the physical experiences we carry.

We'll work with specific areas of the body and health concerns that women bring into the room: chronic illnesses, injuries, recurring infections, menstrual and reproductive concerns, migraines, cysts, fibroids, and conditions that appear within family histories.

The intention is to learn how to trace a pattern astrologically:

  • Which signs correspond with which parts of the body?

  • Which planets traditionally govern particular physiological functions?

  • Where do those signs and planets appear in your natal chart?

  • What houses, aspects, and planetary configurations add context?

  • How can we investigate recurring themes without jumping to conclusions?

  • What patterns appear when we compare individual charts and family histories?

Astrology is the study of pattern. The Alchemist is about learning how to recognize those patterns through the language of the body.

An important distinction: medical astrology is a historical and symbolic interpretive system, not a medically validated diagnostic method. We won't use a birth chart to diagnose disease, determine its cause, predict illness, or replace medical care. We can use it to organize questions, explore personal and family narratives, and develop a deeper vocabulary for understanding our experiences.

Medical astrology is an ancient practice linking celestial bodies, zodiac signs, and astrological houses to human health, body parts, and disease tendencies.

The four-week progression

Week 1 — THE COSMIC MAP

November 25 · Learning the language of the body

Theme: The zodiac as an anatomical map.

We begin in Sagittarius season, with the bigger picture: how astrology developed its traditional correspondences between the twelve zodiac signs and the human body. This is the foundation for everything that follows. Before we can investigate an individual health concern, we need to know how to read the map.

What we'll study:

  • The twelve zodiac signs and their traditional anatomical rulerships, from Aries and the head to Pisces and the feet.

  • The traditional planetary rulers of each sign and their associated physiological symbolism.

  • The distinction between signs, planets, houses, and aspects.

  • The natal chart as a map of symbolic body correspondences.

  • The difference between a sign ruling an anatomical region and a planet occupying that sign.

  • How to identify concentrations of placements, repeated sign themes, and emphasized houses.

We'll identify:

  • Her Ascendant and its ruler.

  • Her Sun and Moon signs.

  • Which houses contain multiple planetary placements in the same sign.

  • Which signs are intercepted or emphasized, where relevant.

  • Any repeated elemental or modal patterns.

Week 2 — THE BODY TELLS A STORY

December 2 · Connecting the natal chart to a specific area of focus

Theme: From the cosmic map to the individual body.

Now we take what we learned in Week 1 and begin applying it to the specific areas of health or anatomy each woman wants to investigate.

This is where we stop looking at the chart as a collection of isolated placements and begin studying how the placements interact.

What we'll study:

  • The sixth house: health routines, maintenance, daily habits, and the experience of illness in traditional astrology.

  • The first house and Ascendant: the physical body, constitution, and embodiment in traditional astrological interpretation.

  • The eighth and twelfth houses: deeper symbolic themes involving vulnerability, transformation, loss, and what is less visible.

  • The planetary ruler of the house being investigated.

  • Aspects involving that ruler, including conjunctions, squares, oppositions, and trines.

  • Retrograde planets, planetary dignity, and repeated chart signatures.

  • How to identify a particular sign or planet that appears repeatedly in the chart.

Each woman chooses one primary area of interest.

Examples:

  • Reproductive health and menstrual experiences.

  • UTIs and recurring urinary concerns.

  • Endometriosis, cysts, or fibroids.

  • Migraines and recurring headaches.

  • Thyroid and hormonal concerns.

  • Digestive issues.

  • Chronic pain or recurring injuries.

  • A condition that appears within her family history.

We then trace the corresponding signs, planets, houses, and aspects in her chart.

For example, someone interested in reproductive health might investigate traditional Scorpio and Libra correspondences, Venus and Mars, the first and sixth houses, and any relevant planetary configurations.

That doesn't establish a cause or explain a disease. It gives us a structured way to explore the symbolism and formulate better questions and the root of our beliefs passed through our lineage.

Takeaway: What does your chart emphasize, and how does that relate to the area you want to understand?

Week 3 — THE ROOT

December 9 · Family patterns, lineage, and inherited narratives

Theme: What patterns existed before you?

This is where we widen the investigation beyond the individual.

We begin exploring family history, inherited narratives, and recurring health concerns across generations. We look at what astrology can symbolically reveal about family roles, emotional environments, and generational patterns without assuming that a chart can identify genetic inheritance or disease transmission.

What we'll study:

  • The fourth house: family origins, ancestry, home environment, and inherited foundations.

  • The Moon: maternal symbolism, emotional conditioning, and family narratives.

  • Saturn: structures, responsibilities, boundaries, and inherited expectations.

  • Pluto: power, control, survival, and themes of transformation.

  • The eighth house: inheritance, shared resources, and generational themes.

  • Repeated planetary configurations and sign patterns across family members' charts, when birth information is available.

  • The distinction between genetic predisposition, shared environment, family history, and symbolic astrological interpretation.

Choose a family pattern or health concern worth exploring.

Examples:

  • Breast cancer appearing across generations.

  • Endometriosis or fibroids in multiple women in a family.

  • Thyroid concerns.

  • Migraines.

  • Recurring reproductive or hormonal concerns.

  • Patterns of chronic illness or injury.

We'll map the family history alongside the relevant natal chart themes.

Takeaway: What did you inherit, what did you experience, and what patterns are worth investigating further?

Week 4 — THE ALCHEMICAL PROCESS

December 16 · Bringing the entire investigation together

Theme: From recognizing the pattern to changing your relationship with it.

This final gathering brings everything together. Each woman has developed a working understanding of her chosen area of focus, her natal chart's relevant symbolism, and the questions that emerged throughout the process.

This is not about finding a magical answer or claiming that every illness has a spiritual meaning. It is about becoming more discerning in how we investigate the body and the stories we attach to it.

What we'll study:

  • How to synthesize the sign, planet, house, and aspect combinations.

  • How to distinguish a dominant chart theme from an isolated placement.

  • How to recognize repeated patterns without forcing connections.

  • How to compare natal placements with relevant transits and progressions.

  • How to separate symbolic interpretation from medical evidence.

  • How to build a personal cosmic body map that can be revisited and expanded.

Each woman presents her investigation:

  • What physical area or health concern did I choose?

  • Which zodiac signs and planetary correspondences relate to it?

  • Where do those themes appear in my natal chart?

  • What additional patterns emerged through the houses and aspects?

  • What did I discover about my family history or personal narrative?

  • What questions do I want to take into my ongoing health and wellness journey?

You leave knowing how to investigate your own chart through the lens of medical astrology, rather than relying on someone else to interpret it for you.

Why begin in Sagittarius season?

Sagittarius is traditionally associated with the hips, thighs, liver, and the search for meaning. Its planetary ruler, Jupiter, represents expansion, exploration, wisdom, and the pursuit of a bigger understanding.

We're not just learning a list of body parts and planetary rulers. We're learning how to investigate, question, recognize patterns, and develop our own understanding.

Sagittarius asks us to look beyond the obvious. It wants to understand the bigger picture.

And that's exactly what we're doing.

The Alchemist is an invitation to become a student of your own body through the language of astrology.

  • " Britt's grounded energy and refined wisdom created a wonderful container for us women to learn and share. I've felt deeper confirmations into self and onto my path, being called into truer expression daily since UNHINGED. It was the best way to start 2024! I'm very grateful for Britt's sight and innate knowing, aiding us each on our journey of individual initiation."

    Catherine A.

  • " Unhinged was truly transformational and connected a lot of dots for me. I grew and expanded so much from the very first session, and this series continues to create an impact even well after the conclusion of the third week. The content Britt put together was in-depth, methodical, and tied together beautifully. Britt is a badass and so talented in all she offers, delivering exactly what she says she will, every time. The fellow attendees in this group were all so beautiful, open, supportive, and empowering. I cannot wait to continue doing the work and step into becoming who I was meant to be."

    Stephanie F.

  • " Unhinged with Britt was everything I thought it would be and more. Sitting down with more than thirty other women on this planet right now wanting to also unhinge themselves from all of the things, was perfect. Thanks for holding space in a no nonsense, soft, strong, wise and inclusive way. I’ll be doing more of these for sure!"

    Alicia M.

  • "If you’re feeling the tug to work with Britt, do it! Unhinged felt like being held, seen, and heard through the hearts of other women on this journey. I’m equipped with more tools and knowledge of myself to unhinge from old patterns and stories everyday. Forever grateful!"

    Abbey W.

  • " I’ve worked with Britt before - she is an incredible space holder and transformative guide. So when I saw this container I jumped in. There was a part of me - the part that needed the help unhinging that became afraid just before class started. I wasn’t consciously aware of this part until that moment. I’m so proud of myself for having the courage to join and letting that part feel everything it had to feel. First class I realized quite quickly I had subconsciously chosen to use this space to deepen my nervous system range and ability to hold sensation in my body. To pull up, witness and allow parts of me I’d exiled in childhood to fully express themselves. I’m sure not coincidentally considering it’s Britt - within 30 minutes of being in the first class my natal Chiron in Gemini in the 11th house was hit in such a way that my understanding of it went from conceptual to embodied in an instant. Sensations I haven’t felt in years. Britt created this space where I was ready to sit with and fully feel that part for the first time in my life. By the end of unhinged I’d sat with that part multiple times and even had a taste of the excitement I actually feel that’s been hidden underneath the wound that was unearthed. It was fucking amaaaazing! Theres a sense of aliveness and integration you feel when you unwind undigested trauma and let yourself feel it without judgement. I had multiple experiences just as profound as the ones above while I was within this container. I know it’s only 3 weeks but damn a lot can unwind and turn on in 3 weeks. I’m grateful to Britt and all the badass women who joined and created the space. It felt like I was literally being held through it and it was a phenomenal experience."

    KATHLEEN R.

Leigh Ann R.

“Are you ready to expand? Well, sometimes that requires being uncomfortable… it reminds us that we’re alive and is an invitation and threshold to growth. Unhinged offers a space to explore that discomfort with a loving, safe, and supportive energy. Britt brings her wisdom and guidance in a way that helps open the door to ourselves and the life we can have on the other side if we’re brave enough to do the work and take the steps while embracing the anxiety of our new container. Go be unhinged. Your soul will thank you.”

Kyra P.

“Unhinged is a permission slip to be fully and authentically expressed. Over 3 weeks, Britt fiercely and eloquently shared wisdom that illuminated my old, outdated stories and invited me to build a stronger foundation to bloom. Her presence and ability to hold space is unwavering and deeply nourishing to receive. You will feel seen, held, called out, and called up in this container (in the best way). Unhinged is for anyone who is ready to dive into and break free from disempowering narratives and patterns. For anyone who is ready to unravel. For anyone who is ready to authentically express themselves and share their gifts. If you’re ready to claim your power, say yes to becoming unhinged. You won’t regret it.”

Jen K.

“I was struck by the potency of this group experience created by Britt and the beautiful women she called in. To come together around a shared experience of unhinging, hearing each others experiences, differences and similarities, it was a very powerful time each week. I was stirred up, opened, constricted, all of the things. A very safe and natural space to be in. Thanks, Britt and the womb-bodied ones who showed up!”

Ashley P.

“The energy in the virtual room was amazing. I got so much out what Britt shared and the topics covered. It opened a lot of doors which allowed me the opportunity to dig deeper after classes. I’m still working on channeling journaling, growing. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was not comfortable. Just what I needed, but didn’t even know. Thank you Britt!”

Linh N.

“So grateful to be a part of the first round of Unhinged! Britt held such beautiful space for us to be heard, seen and acknowledged. As I continue to process and integrate the profound sessions, I can feel my throat opening up more and my vocal expressions becoming fuller and aligned to my authentic truth. Thank you to Britt and all of the amazing women who were a part of this incredible experience!”

Jess C.

“Unhinged was potent. Britt is powerful and delivered an incredible amount of information, support and bad-assery throughout the 3 week course. I'm still processing all we covered and I feel lit up by all of it. Empowered. Fierce. READY FOR WHATS NEXT. Thank you, Britt, for your down to earth, fiery as fuck style.”
